Big City Living (Midpoint Mingle)
The town of Midpoint: called thus because it is at the exact center of the game arena, a busy little Western town full of strange people, many of whom don’t look remotely human, because this is where all the players gather and live. Midpoint Saloon: called thus because it is the only bar in Midpoint. It’s also the biggest building in town, four stories high, dotted with windows, painted a jaunty yellow and decorated with red and green flowers in all the window boxes.
This is where your veteran teammate points you. Or just stomps off to and hopes you follow.
Downstairs is a bar and tavern, Old West style, right down to the upright piano in one corner and a raucous crowd of locals - largely locals, but with a healthy smattering of unusual or downright alien faces that clearly indicate the presence of other Players - eating, drinking, gambling, and getting into trouble. There’s a broad, bearded man behind the bar, waving cheerfully at you as you enter.
The rest of the night and the next day is yours to do with what you see fit. Explore the town, take a long nap in your new room, try to get to know people... everyone is here for the next twenty-four hours before travel to the mission site, so it’s a good chance to scope out the competition, at the very least.

Yoda is very glad of his pony. His legs are very short and the town was laid out by people much taller than him. So he rides from place to place. And tries to convince the pony not to eat his hat. Apparently mindtricks aren't super useful on stubborn ponies though...
II- Saloon
Naturally, he eventually makes his way to the major gathering point. Gambling and trouble aren't really his interest. But he's a living being, he needs to eat and drink (though not necessarily the usual fare here...). Being from a galaxy far, far away he doesn't really know what to expect from an Old West saloon.
"A recommendation have you?"
I- Exploration
That's exactly what he asks the pony; but not in words. In horse noises, because that's how his powers work.

The pony, for its part, is eating out of boredom rather than any sort of neglect. The hat is just so interesting.

"Just wanted to know why he was eating the hat."
II.
He(?) sounded like a mister.

A pause, as if trying to remember something and- "Oh! Day. I'm Daylight but I prefer it if you'll call me Day."

He wasn't exactly as standoffish as some of his friends, so Sam isn't too surprised when he is approached -- though the small stature and green skin take him a second. Granted, he's been here for a bit, so strange appearances are getting a little easier to deal with.
"Depends. Are you asking for a recommendation on food, drink or both?"

"Well, North," he gestures to the bearded and tattooed guy behind the bar, "is the one to speak to. He takes requests if you have something in mind you like from home -- has a knack for being able to make even more obscure dishes." It would be interesting to see if that included whatever strange dishes a small, green man could come up with. "But he usually has a special or two going. I spoke with him earlier. Today it's chili with cheese or pelmeni."
